(Horr) Howard, 78, of Poulin Drive, Quinebaug, formerly of Southbridge, died Thursday night in Bayberry Commons Health Care Facility, Burrillville, R.I., after an illness. She leaves her husband, Roland W. Howard; two brothers, Nelson Horr of Southbridge and Alfred Horr of Vacaville, Calif.; nephews and nieces. She was born in Southbridge, daughter of Frank and Louise (McKinstry) Horr, and lived 38 years in Quinebaug. Mrs. Howard graduated from the former Mary E. Wells High School in Southbridge. She worked at the former Ames Worsted Mill in Southbridge for many years, retiring when the plant closed about 1955. Mrs. Howard was a life member of Elm Street Congregational Church in Southbridge. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Bullard's Funeral Home, 51 Marcy St., Southbridge. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery, Southbridge. Calling hours at the funeral home are 10:30 to 11 a.m. Tuesday. The family requests that flowers be omitted. Memorial contributions may be made instead to Elm Street Congregational Church, P.O.
