      Union-News (Springfield, MA) - December 11, 1995
      Deceased Name: G. Walter LaFleur
      G. Walter "Laffy" LaFleur, 89, of 85 Williams St., the owner and operator of the former LaFleur Machinery Sales Co., died Saturday in a local nursing home. He retired in 1983. He had worked at the former Springfield Armory, and was the office manager for Rolls-Royce Ltd. in Boston for many years. Born here, he lived in the city most of his life. He was a communicant of Holy Cross Church, a life member and past trustee of Elks Lodge 61, and a member of the American Association of Retired Persons. He leaves his wife, the former Mary Hoar; three daughters, Rita M. Denver of Springfield, Claire J. Nunez of Sebring, Fla., and Lois A. LaFleur of Hanscom Air Force Base at Bedford; 12 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren. The funeral will be Wednesday morning at Hafey Springfield Chapels and the church, with burial in St. Michael's Cemetery. Calling hours are Tuesday afternoon and evening, and memorial contributions may be made to the Elks Scholarship, 440 Tiffany St., Springfield, 01108
