    HOAR, COL. WILLIAM J., (RET.), 76, of Louisville, passed away Tuesday, August 17, 2004, at Hospice & Palliative Care of Louisville's inpatient unit at Norton Healthcare Pavilion. He was a native of Brooklyn, NY, a retired Army veteran with 24 years of service, past president and member of South Park Country Club and a member of American Legion Post #246, Moose Lodge #5 and the Retired Officers Association. He was preceded in death by a brother, Rev. Thomas Hoar. He is survived by his wife, Gerry Hoar; three daughters, Teri DeWeerd, Susan Hoar and Janet West; three sons, John, Mike, and Kenny Hoar; brother Joseph Hoar; sister, Mary Crowley; and nine grandchildren. His funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, 7333 Southside Dr., with entombment in Evergreen Mausoleum. Visitation will be from 1-8 p.m. Friday at Evergreen Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Mass of the Air or Hospice of Louisville.

    MALONEY, ROSS H. "PAT," 68, of Louisville, passed away Friday, March 9, 2007. He was a graduate of Atherton High School and the University of Louisville. He was the owner of the R.H. Maloney Company. He enjoyed membership in the St. Matthews Masonic Lodge, Kosair Shrine Temple, the Kentucky FOP, the Louisville, JC's, and was a Kentucky Colonel. He served proudly for many years as a volunteer fireman for the St. Matthews Fire Department. He coached football, softball and baseball for the St. Matthews and Lyndon little leagues as well as football official for the Kentucky High School Athletic Association. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Gail Parsons Maloney; three children, Jeffery Maloney, Kathy Hoar (Kenneth) and Susan Russo (Joseph); four grandchildren, Niklaus and Alexandria Hoar, Meeta C. Maloney and Kile Russo; a brother, Donald Maloney (Karen); and sisters, Betty Bramblett (James) and Jeanette Rodencial (John). A remembrance service for Pat will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 17, 2007. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Hospice and Palliative Care of Louisville.
