Record & Clarion (Gladwin, Beaverton, MI) - November 23, 1999
Eldora M. (A.K.A. Wavis, Hoard) Lanczak, 77, formerly of Gladwin, died Tuesday, Nov. 2, 1999 in Rochester Hills. Born Dec. 7, 1921 in Genesse County, she was a homemaker. She was a member of the Clement Womans Auxiliary and Willing Workers of Gladwin. Surviving are her children Leota and husband Henry Aucoin, Lee D. and the late Caroline Hoard, Louann and husband Richard Klimek, Lyle and wife Ruth Hoard, and Lynn and wife Angela Hoard; siblings, Darwin and wife Peggy Major, and Erline and husband Ervin VanNorman; 15 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Lee D. Hoard Sr., February 1985; and John C. Lanczak, February 1999. Services were held Saturday, Nov. 6 at Holy Innocents Church in Roseville. Burial was in Pinegrove Cemetery, Arbella Township. Kaul Funeral Home, Roseville, was in charge of the arrangements.

BROWN-HOARD FAMILY (July 1954)
The Brown-Hoard family's 74th
annual reunion was held at the
home of Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Hoard,
North Main Street Extension with
65 present.
President A. L. Hoard conducted
the business meeting and devotions
were given by Clifford Brown.
The secretary reported two deaths
and three births.
Mr. Brown was elected president;
Lee Hoard, vice president;
Mrs. Wihner Dahlberg, secretary
and treasurer, and Mrs. William
Beck, historian.
The next reunion will be held at
the Jamestown School Park on
