OLENSKI Mrs. Barbara Ann Sapitowicz Olenski, age 73, beloved wife of Anthony S. Olenski of Milford, passed away on Tuesday, December 13, 2005, at Milford Hospital. Daughter of the late Frank and Frances Gutrick Sapitowicz, she was born on November 29, 1932 in Milford. She was a lifelong resident of Milford. Mrs. Olenski retired from the Visiting Nurse's Association as office manager after 20 years of service. She was a member of the Old Timers of Wheelers Farms Association and the Milford Senior Center. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Olenski is survived by two daughters, Karen Hoar and her husband, Charles, of Oldsmar, Fla. and Denise Carlson and her husband, Jeffrey, of Hershey, Pa.; five grandchildren, Richard, Brian and Kevin Hoar, Heather and Brenton Carlson; and a sister, Suzanne Ambriscoe of Orange. She was predeceased by a sister, Agnes Ignatowski. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 17 at 8:15 a.m. in the Cody-White Funeral Home, 107 Broad Street on the Green, Milford, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. in St. Mary Church, Milford. Interment in King's Highway Cemetery, Milford. Friends may call on Friday 4 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choiceChildren:

Waterford- LCDR Charles H. Hoar, Jr., 85, of 19 Savi Ave., died Tuesday at the Lawrence & Memorial Hospital in New London.
He was born in Boston Oct. 6, 1917, the son of Charles and Marjorie Moody Hoar.
He married Vivian Hoar in Sheboygan, Wis., Sept. 7, 1946. She died Nov. 8, 1995.
Mr. Hoar was retired from the U.S. Navy after 23 years of service. He served in the Pacific during World War II. After retiring from the Navy, he was employed by the United Services Life Insurance Company for over 20 years.
He is survived by a son, Charles Hoar and his wife Karen of Oldsmar, Fla.; a daughter, Susan Herron and her husband Michael of Ridgefield; a sister, Margaret Dacey of West Roxbury, Mass.; and five grandchildren, Richard, Brian, and Kevin Hoar, and Steven and David Herron.
He was predeceased by a brother, Walter Hoar.
The funeral will assemble at 10:15 a.m. Saturday at the Thomas L. Neilan & Sons Funeral Home, 12 Ocean Ave., New London, and proceed to an 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph Church. Burial will be in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Va.
Calling hours are from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
