    Coldwater Daily Reporter (MI) - January 2, 2010
    Thadella B. Hoard, age 94, of Bronson, died on Thursday, Dec. 31, 2009, at The Laurels of Coldwater.
    A service will be held on Monday, Jan. 4, 2010, at 11 a.m. at Dutcher-Kolcz Funeral Home in Bronson, with Pastor John Fields from the First Baptist Church in Bronson officiating.
    Interment will follow at Adams Cemetery in Bronson Township.
    Thadella was born Nov. 25, 1915, in California, Ind., to John and Jenny (Forker) Forrester.
    She had been married to Kenneth McNall, and then married Clarence Hoard on July 7, 1939, in Bronson. They both preceded her in death.
    Mrs. Hoard was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker. She had also worked at one time at the Toy Factory in Sturgis, the former Al & Theda's Restaurant and the City Caf?i??a?i??a in Bronson. Thadella enjoyed crocheting, puzzle books, canning, flowers and gardening. Most of all she loved to spend time with her family, especially her grand- and great-grandchildren.
    In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by her sons, John W. Hoard and infant Clarence Hoard; her daughter, Delcie Rockefeller; four brothers; four sisters; and two infant grandchildren.
    Thadella is survived by her daughters, Lois and Denver Mobley and Mable and Robert Green, all of Bronson; 13 grandchildren; nine step-grandchildren; and many great and great-great-grandchildren.
    Memorials may be directed to The Laurels Activity Fund or Southern Care Hospice.

    Loarn LaMar "Bozo" Forrester
    Age 85, of Tecumseh, passed away August 18, 2008 at Herrick Memorial Hospital. LaMar was born June 15, 1923 in Kenderhook, Michigan the son of John Gilbert and Jennie (Forker) Forrester. On June 28, 1944 he married Elaine Ehlinger in Napoleon, Ohio. She survives. LaMar was retired from Tecumseh Products after 40 years of service where he was known as "Bozo" due to his fun personality. During World War II he served his country in the United States Navy as a gunnermate. La Mar was a member of the First Baptist Church, Tecumseh. He was an active member of the Tecumseh Masonic Lodge since 1947 and also served as a Worshipful Master. People will remember LaMar and his wife Elaine as the couple seen in Tecumseh walking hand in hand. Besides his wife of 64 years, Elaine, LaMar is survived by three daughters, Jan Ruhl of Manitou Beach, Joanne Miller of Delray Beach, FL and Jeanne (Bill) Ward of Greensboro. NC; six grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; sister Thadlla Hoard of Bronson, MI and several nieces and nephews.
    In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his twin brother, LaVern; three brothers; four sisters and a grand daughter, Rhonda Miller.
    According to his wishes, cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be held 1:00 P. M. Saturday, September 6, 2008, at the First Baptist Church, Tecumseh on Milwaukee Road with Dr. Kenneth Boyd officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the family in lieu of flowers to the Tecumseh United Bank and Trust, Russell Road office; attn: Marri Chapman. Arrangements were entrusted to the J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Tecumseh. Condolences to the family may be made on line at www.pursefuneralhome.com.
