    Obituary:
    Wiiliam S. Fox, a native of Lovell, but for several years resident of this town, died suddenly aat his home in this village, early thursday morning. While he has for a long time been in ill health, his condition up to within a few hours of his death had not materially changed. He was taken sick some time during the night and died early in the morning Thursday.

    Mr. Fox was born in Lovell, July 19, 1871, the son of John and Marietta (Horr) Fox. He was prominent in the life of that town, holding various town offices and dealing extensively in lumber. He came to Bridgton some few years ago and opened a grocery store in the building on Main Hill, long occupied by W. E. Marriner. He later sold out this business ane engaged in the automobile and garage business, in Pondicherry Square, which was his business at the time of his death.

    He had been prominent in political and fraternal circles, serving on the republican town committee and was four times elected master of Highland Grange, holding that position at the time of his death. He was also Past Commander of Isaiah S. Webb Camp, Sons of Veterans; was a member of Highland Lodge, Knights of Pythias and of its auxiliary, the Pythian Sisters. He was also an Odd Fellow.

    He married Corinne Lord, of Lovell, about forthy years ago, who survives him. He also leaves a son, Earle, of this place and four daughters, namely, Leora, Mrs. Byron McAllister, of Lowvell; Christine, Mrs. Lee Blake, of Brown field and Corinne, who is a student at the Bridgton High School and lives at home. Theer are eleven grandchildren. He also leaves three brothers, Josiah, of Lovell and Walter and Lewis of Bangor. Funeral services will be held Sunday and interment will be in Lovell.
