"Lt. David Strong b. Aug .17,1825, m. Nov. 4, 1852, Frances Augusta Daniels b. in Chatham, Sept. 2, 1831 (dau. of Bartlett Shepard Daniels b. in Chatham, Feb. 26, 1799, a farmer, and Florilla Fuller b. July 2, 1800, whom he m. May 6, 1830). She d March 24, 1856 : and he m. Sept. 14, 1857, Chloe Maria Colt b. in Torrington, Ct., Sept. 6, 1834 (dau. of Henry Colt, b. Nov. 25, 1800, a farmer, and Chloe Catlin b June 24, 1805, whom he m. Oct. 19, 1829). She d. Feb. 2, 1865. He m. June 7, 1866, for 3d wife, Emerette Lois Colt b. Nov. 21, 1841, in Torrington, Ct. (sister of his previous wife, Chloe).
During the late rebellion, he was 1st Lieut, in Co of the 24th Regt.
He was in Banks' Expedition in the Gulf Department, and in all the forced marches from New Orleans to Port Hudson. His captain being off duty from sickness, he commanded his company during these marches and the siege of Port Hudson. He is engaged in manufacturingand mercantile pursuits in Winsted, Ct., and manufactures coffin trimmings.

David married Emerette Lois Colt on 7 Jun 1866. Emerette (daughter of Henry Colt and Chloe Catlin) was born on 21 Nov 1841 in Torrington, Litchfield Co, Connecticut, USA. [Group Sheet]

Henry married Chloe Catlin on 19 Oct 1829. Chloe was born on 24 Jun 1805. [Group Sheet]
