    In the name of God Amen. I Joseph GROUT of Monson in the County of Hampden and Commonwealth of Massachusetts Physician.?a?"considering the Uncertainty of this Mortal life and being Weak in body, but of Sound and perfect Mind and memory?a?"(blessed be Almighty God for the Same,) do make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and form of allowing ?a?" that is to say --

    first I give an bequeath unto my beloved Wife Phebe GROUT, one third part of all my Real Estate for her use during her life likewise one half of my house, the west part extending as far east as the Centex of the Kitchen fire place, running through the Chimney South including the West Square room and South bed room She to have Privelege of Going up Chamber and down Better & use of the Oven What she needs ?a?" Like wise one third part of the out buildings including the parts of the barn ?a?"I also give an bequeath to the said Phebe GROUT all my house hold furniture ?a?" one good Horse ?a?" two Good Cows ?a?" all money on hand six good Sheep, one clock one watch, 1 hog for her use and disposal ?a?" also one half of all debts due me after my Just debt are paid ? I give unto the said Phebe for her use and disposal Like wise I give her one wagon and one Sleigh for her use also one third part of the farming Utensels for her use as aforesaid --

    I do also give and bequeath unto my Eldest daughter Phebe HOAR Wife of Maj. John HOAR one hundred and fifty dollars for her disposal forever

    I do also give an bequeath unto my daughter Chloe, Wife of Mr. Charles GARDNER one hundred and fifty dollars for her disposal forever

    I Also Give and bequeath unto My Son Benjamin GROUT three hundred and thirty three dollars and thirty three cents ?a?" to make him equal to What I have heretofore given my other sons

    I do also give an bequeath unto my Son Nahum GROUT my son Joseph GROUT and my son Benjamin GROUT all the remainder and residue of my Estate both real and personal (after my Just Debts are paid) to be equally divided between them, after deducting from Nahum?a??Ls Share all demands due me from him

    and I hereby appoint Lt. Job PUFFER Executor of this my last Will and testament thereby revoking all former Wills by me made
